Original paintings by London based Australian artist Emily Besser. These paired paintings are in acrylic and aerosol on board, framed in Tasmanian Oak with a natural finish. 

‘Pairings’ are explorations by the artist of gesture and geometry in painting and drawing. Emily is interested in creating new visual relationships, uniting colours, patterns, shapes and marks that have become part of the visual language within her work. Here she spliced, segmented and finally mended these exploratory patterns and hues, in a continued exploration of pattern and colour. Created prior to her move to London UK, these signal a transitional stage of her practice, one that is focused on process and aesthetic.
