This series by Tony Griffin considers the often-overlooked objects in a single Australian home through the practice of still life and examine our everyday experiences. They are a form of archaeology, not of some distant world, but one interested in our present and most recent past.
About the Artist:
Born in Melbourne, Tony Griffin is a Ballarat-based painter and printmaker with over forty-years’ experience in the visual arts. His carefully observed and detailed work explores our everyday world and the curious dependencies we have with our everyday things. Griffin has exhibited locally, interstate and internationally in group and solo exhibitions and his work is held in both public and private collections.
