Jennifer Tarry-Smith is a Melbourne based artist working in the medium of printmaking and drawing. She produces works that are abstract distillations of her experience of place and memory.
“My artworks spring from the junction between the discipline of my chosen medium and the almost unconscious, meditative state that drives the image making process,” says Tarry-Smith.
About the Artist:
Jennifer Tarry-Smith is a Melbourne based artist working predominantly in printmaking. She has a particular interest in combining printmaking with her passion for jazz music. In fusing these elements, Tarry-Smith expresses the extemporary and impulsive nature of jazz improvisation in her monotype and lithographic prints.
