About the work:
Clear Day, Original Artwork by Kasper Raglus.
This piece is part of Chromatic Retreat, a group exhibition showcasing the work of 17 Australian artists exploring their practice within the limits of a largely achromatic palette.
“While my studio is being renovated I have been painting outside; the weather has been playing a huge part in when I can and can’t make new work. I wanted to try and capture the simplicity of that somehow in a new piece of work. ‘Clear Day’ to me is about the opportunities that come with an open mind and a sunny day,” Raglus says.
About the Artist:
Kasper Raglus is the unconventional artist, his work is minimalist, experimental and refined. In each work, his signature diamond motif shifts in and our of the picture plane – anchored, constrained or interrupted by blocks of vivid colour and animated with immaculately rendered linework.
