About the work:
Fields Untangled, Original Artwork by Kayleigh Heydon.
This piece is part of Radiant Dreams, a group exhibition showcasing the work of more than 50 artists from the Modern Times community. Radiant Dreams invited our artists to unleash their most vibrant work, embracing colour, movement and verve. The resulting works are a buoyant collection reflecting optimism, energy and hope as we emerge from the monotonous routine of lockdown.
”When I dream, it’s always night.
The car’s moving so fast the reflective markings on the highway blur together.
I drink the humidity and our hands catch the midnight breeze out the window.
Canola fields glow my favourite dull orange under the blue moon and the air is sweet.
Elaborate mail boxes compete with each other at the end of overgrown driveways and the Silone’s watch over the sleepy towns as we pass through one after the other.
We’re always half way there in my dreams,” Heydon says.
