An original collaborative painting by Victorian based father and son duo, Jeff and Kasper Raglus, acrylic on board, framed in painted Tasmanian Hardwood.
Jeff Raglus is one of a unique group of contemporary artists who divide their practice equally between music and the visual arts. Jeff’s son Kasper is also an unconventional artist; his work is minimalist, experimental and refined. Both artists’ work constantly blurs the boundaries between fine and graphic art.
Originally painted for the Maritime Art Prize, this very special collaborative piece is influenced by the landscape around Queenscliff, Victoria. The town has a strong fishing backbone and both artists were inspired by the buoys at sea, approaching the work with a combination of Jeff’s ‘pop’ approach and Kasper’s strong sense of shape and colour.
