‘Short Walk and Signposts’ references imagery of textiles: ribbons and a striped dress. Utilising collage techniques with paint these everyday objects, associated with the feminine are placed within a context of an internal landscape.Created prior to her move to London UK, this series signals a transitional stage of Emily’s practice, one that is focused on process and aesthetic.
