About the work:
Suspension, Original Artwork By Yan Guo.
This piece is part of Radiant Dreams, a group exhibition showcasing the work of more than 50 artists from the Modern Times community. Radiant Dreams invited our artists to unleash their most vibrant work, embracing colour, movement and verve. The resulting works are a buoyant collection reflecting optimism, energy and hope as we emerge from the monotonous routine of lockdown.
”This year for me has been one of pause, but with a sense of underlying momentum; and whilst there have been moments of quiet and reflection, I have consistently felt invigorated with a new energy and purpose to create,” Guo says.
About the Artist:
Yan Guo is a self-taught Shanghai-born, Melbourne-based artist and has been creating art full time during 2020. Having worked as an urban planning consultant, and more recently graduated as an interior designer, Yan has always had a strong interest in the interaction between people and buildings. Her works seek to depict these ideas of personal constructions and conceptualise them in the form of playful, suggestive worlds that allow viewers the chance to consider their own personal constructs and experiences within the narrative of the scene.
