James Howe is a furniture and lighting designer from Adelaide. He seeks to always pioneer new ground, creating pieces which are both beautiful and novel in their form and use of materials.
A minimalist, James draws inspiration from what he observes in nature, city landscapes, and utilitarian man-made objects. His pieces are textual, tactile and imbued with a lightness and sophistication of form.
He has been recognised in a number of design awards, including being named one of six finalists in the 2017 Australian Furniture Design Award.
