Rudolf Wolf designed the Meander Series in the 1960s in The Netherlands. It includes the Model Alpha dining chair, Beta armchair and Gamma club chair, and is characterised by the wonderful contrast between the rounded seat and backrest and the highly geometric and rigid frame. This Meander Alpha Dining Chair is a covetable piece that would make a great occasional or desk chair, or single dining chair amongst an eclectic set. The seat appears to float above the frame – a result of Wolf’s vision of ‘chair-free seating’. Note how the backrest subtly folds over the steel frame as if it hangs precariously mid-air.

The sophisticated aesthetic of the new Kvadart blue upholstery and black frame is offset perfectly by the magic and playfulness of this vintage Dutch design.
