This is a rare modernist low-sitting Scissor chair designed by Jan Van Grunsven for UMS Pastoe in Utrecht in the 1950s. Made from baltic pine and featuring a slatted timber seat and backrest with the iconic scissor leg design, it’s a striking and effortlessly cool vintage piece that takes cues from the Pierre Jeanneret 1948 scissor chair for Knoll. Whether sitting on a verandah or by the pool, it promises to add character to any contemporary home. Also, it folds neatly away to be stacked undercover during the winter months. We have two available while stocks last, please enquire if you’re after a pair – they would look amazing side-by-side.
