When it comes to a classic Danish armchair, you can’t go past the Model 2207 chair designed by the legendary Borge Mogensen for Fredericia Mobelfabrik in 1963. Known as “the people’s designer” Mogensen’s work is often associated with visual calm and functionalism. The Model 2207 chair showcases his perfect sense of proportion and form, and was designed as part of a series including 2- and 3-seater sofas. The elegant curve along the length of the backrest is mirrored in the shape of the armrest, giving the humble armchair a beautiful fluidity.
This piece includes a matching footstool and features original black leather upholstery – it has slight damage and a heavy patina. There is also slight cracking in the leather on the footstool. Please speak to us about upholstery as we would be happy to help if you’re after a more contemporary option, or you can opt to enjoy the patina of age that comes with a vintage piece.
The footstool dimensions are as follows: h 440 x w 550 x d 550mm. The armchair is $3650 and footstool is $1350, sold together.
