Danish designer Poul M. Volther was a key figure in Scandinavian functionalism. He believed in designing timeless, high quality yet affordable furniture for everyday use, and succeeded Borge Mogensen at renowned FDB Mobler.
This teak chest of drawers for FDB illustrates Volther’s work beautifully. It presents many of the subtle yet impactful design details we love about midcentury Danish design such as the tapered legs, cathedral grain of the teak and petite wooden handles creating a lovely symmetry down the front. And it’s functional too, featuring six evenly-sized drawers, there’s plenty of storage. This piece is classic, finished to perfection and ready to provide you with everyday enjoyment and use.
