A nest of tables in pine by Dutch designer and maker Ate Van Apeldoorn for Houtwerk Hattem. Houtwerk Hattem began manufacturing timber furniture in the 1960s with a tree-to-product process that Van Apeldoorn first employed when he started making timber bowls and beads in 1958. This nest of tables is an example of where the tree is central to the final design with its simple form and construction tailored to the Dutch timbers. This is a versatile piece of furniture with style and a story.
