The Fan Court Table with Live Edge Slate and Pebble Dash Base by James Howe.
James Howe is a furniture and lighting designer from Adelaide. He draws inspiration from what he observes in nature, city landscapes and utilitarian man-made objects. His pieces are textual, tactile, imbued with a lightness and sophistication of form.
The hero of this table has been hand selected locally from Mintaro with its own thick, raw slab of untampered slate.
This work is part of Monolith, an exhibition presented at Modern Times as part of Melbourne Design Week 2020, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV. Visit our showroom to view the exhibition from March 12 – 22.
