Lucha Table Lamp in PVC by FISCHINC.

Embodied throughout this design is a clear sense of uniqueness, that seeks to capture the individuality inherent to each respective lamp, demonstrating the characteristics of obscurity that they possess. The tangled form the Lucha Lamps take, enable the viewer to scan the entirety of the abstract piece. However, as your view of the Lucha Lights alters in a circular fashion, you are able to view the dynamic form the Lights hold. Colours significantly impact human emotion. As such, the choice of bright colour was to stay true to the playfulness of the design.

About the Designer:

Ash Fischer (of FISCHINC) is a designer and maker currently producing work out of a shared studio space in Marrickville. After studying furniture design in Melbourne from 2018-2019 and exhibiting his first works at the end of year grad show, he slowly started to develop the first design the Lucha lamp into a company after moving back to Sydney mid 2020. His works are inspired by mundane objects. Exploring the hidden beauty in overlooked items by playing with the fundamentals of scale and colour. All the works that he has produced so far are primarily made from items such as cream canisters, disposable vapes and PVC elbows. Since starting FISCHINC he has developed his company into having a distinct yet familiar style. With bespoke interior lighting and a recycled homeware product as his first design releases. He plans to continue developing into a multi-disciplinary design company.
