Snake Planter in Glazed Stoneware by Peta Armstrong

A wheel-thrown planter with hand-built legs, finished with a snake motif. Features a drainage hole to keep your plants fresh. Peta Armstrong is a multidisciplinary artist currently focusing on ceramics. She is based in Torquay, Victoria and works from her backyard studio. Peta’s practice plays with form and function and she makes high fired stoneware pieces using traditional materials and techniques with a contemporary aesthetic.

Peta came back to ceramics in the past few years after a career as a graphic artist and designer in the screen printing industry. Peta’s work is influenced by the diverse landscape and flora and fauna of Australia, primitive art, painting and design.
