This piece is part of Talismans, Rafts, Mementos: a group exhibition showcasing the work of the entire community of Modern Times artists. Throughout 2020 artists used their practice to make sense of what was happening, and this show celebrates this rich vein of creative output.

“My initial instinct, of course, was a bit of panic when things began to get real. But I’ve settled into a lockdown rhythm through cherishing who and what is around me, looking at what I take for granted, the act of nurture, and connecting as my source for well-being,” says James.

About the Artist:

James Lemon’s signature handmade works are highly tactile, playful and dynamic objects. While they are produced via traditional production methods of throwing, they are also warped to express movement and gesture.
