Nocturnal Flower 1 Sculpture in Handbuilt Ceramic by Bettina Willner-Browne.
Melbourne-based ceramics artist Bettina Willner-Browne graduated from a Bachelor of Art at Monash University in 1991. Slabs, extrusions, elemental structures and gestural painting techniques characterise her sculptural ceramic pieces.
This work was created in response to Modern Times’ exhibition Transcendence.
Bettina sees her work as vessels to carry messages or feelings into the future and Nocturnal Flowers 1, 2 and 3 for Transcendence explore this concept.
This event is part of Melbourne Design Week 2020, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV. Visit our showroom to view the exhibition from March 12 – 22.
