Unlike the bronze and aluminium versions, the Block Thoronet Dish is solid stone and has no ‘negative’ side.
Thoronet dish, shares its name and arched lines with the Abby in the south of France.
Each piece is manufactured in natural stone, meaning variations of the pattern in the stone will occur from piece to piece. Has a honed finish, unsealed with porous sections left unfilled.
About the Designer:
Henry Wilson is a Sydney based designer whose work combines a rational, democratic utility with an element of sculptural expression. There is a clear form and function in his work, but it’s important they also have feeling.
